Cardamom is considered to be one of the oldest and most valuable spices in the world, right after Safran and Vanille. The spice originates from South India, and today is also grown in Sri Lanka, Guatemala, Tansania and Brasil. The pleasant and refreshing taste of Cardamom seeds goes well with other herbs and curry spices. It is an ingredient of many liqueurs and is used for cakes, pastry and milk dishes.
