Himalaya Black Salt (gournd)

A special Ayurvedic rock salt that can be used instead of normal salt. The sulphur content acts as an antioxidant and regulates the digestive system. Following Ayurvedic tradition, the salt is heated for many hours in heavy pots together with precious haritaki and amla fruits. During this process it absorbs the precious contents of the fruits and turns into salt crystals of reddish brown colour and has a sulphurous smell.
