A teaspoon of this spicy fruit paste provides vitality and fitness throughout the day. Amla fruit provides the basis of Chyavanprash. Amla is considered the richest source of vitamin C available and is highly praised in Ayurveda for its health promoting properties. However, the physical effects and inner harmony produced by Chyavanprash exceed those of Amla fruit on its own and last longer. This comes from the complex knowledge of plants and herbs contained in the ancient Ayurvedic texts (Vedas), as well as their combined effects on the human physiology. This knowledge has been converted into the recipe for Chyavanprash. 39 herbs are used in the preparation of Chyavanprash. According to the ancient texts this paste has an influence on mind, body and spirit. Taken regularly it offers outstanding support to physiological functioning. It is also recommended to help recovery after illness.
